Sorry, "Jawsh," but HAART does not "eradicate" HIV. Undetectable ≠ Destroyed. And that's just that. #journalism #writing

  1. I responded to a couple of the comments there which were disingenuously splitting hairs about what he said, particularly where they pedantically zeroed in on his view on transmission probability in an undetectable person. While his articles are pseudo-intellectual turgid claptrap with syrupy pick-me-ups seasoned with a hint of indignant hissy fit, they do contain kernels of correct medical information (big whoop) and occasionally legitimate views on the state of HIV consciousness in the gay community today.

What he meticulously omits from his blog is his own less-than-admirable backstory, which incidentally would clear up a lot of questions created by his musings. For one thing the way he actually became poz – in contrast to long-timers like you and others, who were arguably blameless or near-blameless given how back then little was known about transmission routes – is telling. He's an extant example of how substance abuse, unfinished emotional business, and a little selfishness can lead you to seroconversion in an age when there's more ways of avoiding it than getting it.
