{"id":121,"date":"2004-12-15T16:46:24","date_gmt":"2004-12-15T21:46:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.highstrungloner.com\/?p=121"},"modified":"2012-02-23T20:33:04","modified_gmt":"2012-02-24T01:33:04","slug":"media-whore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.highstrungloner.com\/?p=121","title":{"rendered":"Media Whore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seems like every time <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.andrewsullivan.com\" target=\"-new\">Andrew Sullivan<\/a><\/b> develops a <b>new ailment<\/b>, he feels <em>compelled<\/em> to shout about it from the <b>media rooftops.<\/b> It\u2019s as if he thinks he\u2019s the <em>first<\/em> or <em>only<\/em> person to whom this has <em>ever<\/em> happened. <em>Christ,<\/em> Sully, <b>fatsos<\/b> on the <b>Bears Mailing List<\/b> have been moaning about <b>sleep apnea<\/b> for <em>years!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatimgleft alignleft\" style=\"border-image: initial; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; border-width: 1px; border-color: white; border-style: solid;\" title=\"Andrew Sullivan\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.highstrungloner.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/hslpicssully001.jpg?resize=160%2C120\" alt=\"Andrew Sullivan\" width=\"160\" height=\"120\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"0\" vspace=\"0\" \/><b>On the bright side,<\/b> we get to see <b>humiliating pictures<\/b> like this one from his appearance yesterday with <b>CNN\u2019s Wolf Blitzer<\/b> during which the apparently <em>blind<\/em> <b>Dr. Sanjay Gupta<\/b> assures Andrew that he is is <em>not<\/em> obese! You can <b>see and hear<\/b> for yourself in this <b><a href=\"http:\/\/movies.ziaspace.com\/Mask.wmv\" target=\"_new\">video<\/a><\/b>. Savor the <b>rare moment<\/b> when Andrew says, <b>\u201cI\u2019m going to stop talking now,\u201d<\/b> as he puts on his <b>CPAP<\/b> mask. I wonder, too, about the <b>tenuous state of his home life<\/b> if, as he says, his <b>relationship was at stake<\/b> because of his <b><em>snoring!!<\/em><\/b> Poor thing. Between this and the <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gawker.com\/news\/media\/andrew-sullivan\/andrew-sullivan-in-foreclosure-in-provincetown-026790.php\" target=\"_new\">foreclosure<\/a> on his Provincetown condo,<\/b> he\u2019s going to <em>need<\/em> a good night\u2019s sleep.<\/p>\n<p>And why is <b>Big Ben<\/b> in the background??
