I don't even know where to begin.<\/p>\n

First of all, this guy (with a Grindr<\/a><\/strong> profile photo of some shrubbery<\/a>!<\/strong>) is 20 years-old!<\/strong>\u00a0I've been HIV+<\/strong>\u00a0since before he was born!<\/strong><\/em> I'm not about to be schooled in \u201cproper\u201d HIV+ sex practices<\/strong> by him<\/em><\/strong>. Please.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Secondly, Grindr<\/strong> really isn\u2019t<\/em> the place for this sort of discussion unless we were planning to hook up which\u00a0we weren\u2019t. <\/strong>His initial message to me arrived\u00a0out of nowhere.<\/strong> I don\u2019t initiate contact with\u00a0youngsters,\u00a0<\/strong>especially anonymous ones.<\/p>\n

Finally, my sex life<\/strong> is no one\u2019s business<\/strong> except mine and those I choose to share it with, even though this blog might indicate otherwise.<\/strong> The same goes for my\u00a0T-Cell count<\/strong> and Viral Load,<\/strong> so STFU, Mary, <\/strong>unless you were invited which you weren\u2019t.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It would be nice if this kind of \u201csex shaming\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0would \u00a0end in the age of PrEP<\/strong> and HAART<\/strong>. I guess there will always be ignorant young people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

FYI:<\/strong> The risk is essentially eliminated<\/a><\/strong>, not \u201chuge.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

I guess my problem<\/strong> with this whole episode is not that he\u2019s ignorant of the facts.<\/strong> Most people are, really. It\u2019s that he is so loud<\/strong> about his ignorance and he\u2019s decided to spread it around.<\/strong> I had hoped that, in the five years when I was off the market,\u00a0things had changed.<\/strong> I guess not.<\/strong><\/p>\n
